There was great chemistry between Marian and Rocket the first time they met and Marian rode him. We are very happy to let Rocket go to such a good partner and nice lady. And he did not go far away. Marian lives just a short way down the CA coast in Santa Barbara County. She and Rocket will enjoy pleasure riding and will also practice dressage with Marian’s trainer, Julie Corlett.
Congratulations to both Marian and Rocket!
Crystalina is Ringbrook Renaissance’s (x MEMC Tequila Cuervo) new foal for the Nethings at Thirsty Creek Ranch in Reno, Nevada.

Merriewold is overjoyed to announce the arrival of our three Caduceus Marika x RG Stuart’s Monarch foals.
On 3/22/08, Kona, a Chestnut Filly was born.
And on 3/23/08, Kirin, a Bay Filly was born.
Finally on 3/26/08, a Chestnut Colt was born. We don’t have photos of him yet and will wait to name him until we see him in person.
Merriewold is pleased to offer WNC Rocket Man for the first time. Rocket is the USEF 2007 regional “Horse of the Year” Champion: Morgan, First level, Dressage. And he is currently training at second level. He is seven years old and 15.3 hands.
On our latest visit to see Fabien at Mark Luis’s we were excited to see that Mark is introducing Fabien to calf roping. Mark says that Fabien is very good at ‘following’ the calf, and seems to enjoy this new activity.
Congratulations to Nancy and Bruce Nething of Reno, Nevada on their purchase of Ringbrook Renaissance (Crystal). They are starting a breeding program with this wonderful foundation mare at Thirsty Creek Ranch. Crystal is in foal to MEMC Tequila Cuervo and is due in just over five weeks. We wish them all the best, and please send baby photos!
While in Florida I had a chance to visit the ranch where my passion for horses began. The two Morgan Mares that started it all…Smurfette and Hot Chocolate are still there and look great.
